  1. Microsoft's Lenn Pryor (Robert Scoble's boss) is on stage right now at the BBS 2005 and speaking on "Corporate Blogging: Strategy and Policy." I was really struck by several things... Lenn comes across as super smart but not stuck up; he's relaxed and engaging; he's marvelously articulate. And so is Robert Scoble. Is this some personality profile they breed at Microsoft? Anyway, read my more-or-less verbatim transcription below of what Lenn said about employee guidelines for blogging. They sound simple... but they're the result of a lot of thought

  2. In 2007 my book, "Strategies and Tools for Corporate Blogging," was published by Butterworth-Heinemann an imprint of Elsevier, Inc. In the book I explore how social media gives marketers a tremendous opportunity to listen and conduct a dialogue with customers. The book explains why marketing is the strategy to use in social media, because social media makes it easier for companies to listen to customers.

  4. In this video from The Future of Web Apps London (FOWA), Kevin Rose, founder of Digg, WeFollow and Revision3, shares 9 things he did to increase his users to 1,000,000 and beyond.

Kevin Rose is the founder and chief architect of digg. He oversees all aspects of the management and development of the Web site. Kevin started digg in September 2004 as a personal project.

His initial idea was to conduct a social experiment in how masses of users could control and promote news and other content on the Web, without external editorial control. After a very short time, he realized the power of his idea, as digg was becoming a resource for breaking news stories and developed a strong user following.

Kevin is also a co-founder of the Internet Television Network Revision3 where as a member of the board he provides strategic direction to the company.
